BELGRADE INNOVATIVE
CENTER

About us

Belgrade Innovative Center (ICB) is a non-governmental, non-profit association established in Belgrade in 2016. The organisation grew out of an informal group committed to creating practical responses to the needs of young people and local communities.

ICB works at the intersection of non-formal education, digital skills, environmental protection and circular economy, rural development and applied innovation. It develops educational programmes, pilot actions, practical knowledge resources and partnerships with public authorities, businesses, educational institutions and civil society organisations.

ICB aims to turn knowledge into practical value. Its programmes are therefore designed to leave participants, partners and local communities with usable tools, experience, publications and models that can be further developed and replicated in other settings.

Mission

We empower young people and local communities through practical knowledge, contemporary skills and cooperation across civil society, public institutions, education and business.

Vision

An open, inclusive and sustainable society in which innovation serves people, communities and responsible development.

Our mandate

ICB builds credibility through the documented areas of expertise listed under Expertise. The association's statute also sets out a broader scope of action, which the organisation develops gradually, in line with resources and partnerships.

The broader statutory scope also includes education in sport, healthy lifestyles, road safety, promotion of science and innovative technologies, anti-discrimination work, and social cohesion and inclusion.

These areas describe the statutory scope of the association, not necessarily multi-year, project-documented expertise to date.
